About Steven Crawford

Steven Crawford is a Tumut-based photographer located at the foothills of the beautiful Snowy Mountains. Steven specializes in landscape and portrait photography. Whether chasing the pre-dawn light for sunrise or following a mob of Brumbies in the high country or photographing a child in the park Steven strives to capture the perfect image from spectacular lighting to the clarity of the image.

“I strive to capture images that are not just authentic representations of our beautiful landscape, but images that make people feel that they were standing beside me when I was composing the photograph. Composition, clarity, and waiting for the RIGHT LIGHT is the key to my photography”

Steven has always been a keen photographer and in 2010 wanted to take it to the next level. So he purchased a DSLR and took lessons with local professional photographer Paul Woolveridge. From there, Steven read and researched as much as he could about the art of photography and how to get the most out of the camera. In October 2011 Steven captured the first image that he printed, framed, and not long after that sold.  As you can see by Steven’s images he is well on his way to becoming a beautiful Photographer.

“There is so much to learn about photography, that I don’t think you can learn it all in one lifetime”

Steven, his wife Trudy, and 3 children, Catelin, Will, and Abby live on the beautiful Tumut River just out of Tumut with their 9 horses, 2 dogs, and 2 cats. “Look around you,” Steven says “Why would want to live anywhere else”
